Laurent Moret, a keen runner from Tamboerskloof, was the lucky winner of a brand new Opel Adam, compliments of REEDS Motor Group and the Absa Cape Town 12 ONERUN.
Following in the footsteps of the inaugural event, all runners taking part in the Absa Cape Town 12 ONERUN on Sunday, 15 May 2016 stood a chance to go home as the proud owner of a zippy Opel Adam. Laurent Moret’s name was drawn just before the start and he then had to run the full 10km route before seeing his prize on the finish line.
“Winning the Opel Adam at the start was absolutely amazing,” says Moret. “I think reality only hit me when I reached the 8km mark. It became very difficult to keep the momentum. I was on cloud nine and thinking wow, I won a car! The event had a fantastic atmosphere and I was very impressed by the organisation. Winning the Opel Adam was the cherry on the cake. I will definitely be back next.”

“In addition to the giveaway, more than 80 of our staff members took part in the event,” continues Denicker. “This proved to be a really successful team exercise. REEDS also had a few activations both at the start and on route including a display, manned cardboard Opel Adams, marimba dancers and music at the fountain in Adderley Street. We once again had an amazing time and look forward to continue growing our involvement in this special event.”
