Fairmont High’s Majorettes will be the source of much excitement on Sunday, 20 May 2018 when they entertain runners on route at the 4th annual Absa Cape Town 12 ONERUN.
“Fairmont is one of the oldest Majorette teams in Cape Town having started forty-one years ago when the school first opened its doors,” says Karen Donachie, Head Coach Fairmont High Majorettes. “It is an honour to be involved with this prestigious event. Last year the Drummies had fun, fun and more fun. They enjoyed the vibe and the interaction with the runners. A lot of selfies were taken. The Absa Cape Town 12 ONERUN allowed them to do what they love in a different environment to that of competing. The girls cannot wait to be part of the event again. Runners can look forward to a colourful performance.”
Other performing arts groups to look out for will include: AfroBeat, Field Band Foundations and the Amy Foundation.
