The City of Cape Town is excited to welcome runners to the Mother City on Sunday 21 November 2021, ready to #CelebrateCapeTown and #RunTheirCity at the iconic Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K!

“Cape Town is a world-class destination that is worthy of hosting world-class events,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports and Founder of the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series.  “We are both excited and proud to host the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K in the Mother City.  With our motto of #RunYourCity, we believe that the Absa RUN YOUR CITY Series will continue to set the standard for international level events in Africa, welcoming not only thousands of runners across South Africa to the starting line but also world class athletes from around the world hoping to break records on African soil.  We are determined to continue pushing the boundaries and challenge the status quo as we encourage all South Africans to #RunYourCity.”

“With live on route performances from Cape Town’s most celebrated performing arts groups, entrants will be treated to a route experience like no other,” continues Meyer.  “We invite all runners (and walkers) to join us on Sunday 21 November 2021 as we #CelebrateCapeTown at the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K.  Remember entries are, however, limited due to COVID regulations.  So, we urge our loyal community and newcomers to enter as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!  We can’t wait to welcome runners to the start line in Cape Town ready to #RunYourCity.”

“The City of Cape Town is thrilled to welcome the Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K back to the streets of the Mother City. The past 18 months have been challenging for cities across the world, but we also have a lot to be thankful for. We are determined now more than ever to help create healthier, more active communities, while enjoying our magnificent city and all it has to offer.  We are excited to once again have the opportunity to connect with fellow Capetonians as well as runners/walkers that will be joining us from outside of Cape Town.  Join us at the 2021 Absa RUN YOUR CITY CAPE TOWN 10K and let’s #CelebrateCapeTown as we #RunOurCity together,” says Cape Town Executive Mayor Dan Plato.
